For a political science major, I sure don't talk about politics all that much.
Okay. So here I am, adding my voice to the rather sizable cacophany saying to go out and vote! (Granted, I doubt there's an eligible voter on my friends list who isn't, but I digress anyway.)
Regardless of the actual outcome of this election (for all of the races, not just the Presidential one...), I will be content if there is a very high voter turnout. Because that's the point of a representative system of government. The people choose who they want to have representing them, be it in Washington DC or in City Hall. If enough people don't vote, it's only representative of those who do. So get your voice heard, regardless of what your voice says.
People I love dearly are voting for Kerry.
People I love dearly are voting for Bush.
People I love dearly are voting for Badnarik.
I don't care who you vote for. I care that you vote.
So if you haven't already. Go do it!
Enough pontificating from me, I now return you to your regularly scheduled friendslist. Or friendsfriends list... Or Random Journal button. Whatever! :)
Oh. And GIP for the occasion. And I now have all fifty slots filled.
