Brand new Actually Really Good history prof today, on how Teddy Roosevelt managed to get the presidency..

"He got elected governor of New York. Now... His party was kinda scared of him because he didn't toe the line. They had no idea what to do with him... So they decided to make him vice president. The Vice Presidency is like the Chicago Cubs of politics."

I just grooooaned.
