One thing nobody ever told him before he signed up for this whole popstar gig was the fact that the road could get ridiculously monotonous. When one thought 'rich and famous', one did NOT think 'sitting on your booty for ninety million hours while staring at the highway'. He took another bite of his pizza. It was getting kinda cold. Yuck.
He glanced down at his paper plate and started to giggle. That grease stain looked kinda eerily like Simon. If you tilted your head a little to the side and squinted just right. Kinda appropriate. He giggled a little harder as he imagined the grease-blot dryly insulting someone.
After a few moments, Kelly peeked her head in. "Clay? What's goin' on?"
Clay looked up from his spot on the floor, where he'd landed by that time, still giggling hysterically, and just shook his head helplessly.
