The spider has passed scary and has moved onto hysterical.

Cuz it just completed the seventh lap around my room on the walls by the ceiling.

Do you have a cup or a glass?

Get the cup and a bit of strong paper. Trap the spider in the cup, slide the paper underneath and this will have it trapped. You can then safely carry it downstairs.

Generally, once they're in the cup, they stay fairly quiet.
