It is Thanksgiving.
Therefore, I am going to do the obligatory 'I am thankful for....' post. Although, since I think it goes without saying that I'm thankful for the big stuff... My family (oh, and a happy 90th birthday shoutout to my grandma! Older than all my other grandparents, but only living one left..), my friends (yes, this includes all of you), and, y'know... the Big Stuff, I'm gonna make a list of the little things that I'm thankful for that I really don't think of all that much. So here we go.
I'm Thankful For...
...The fact that although my computer is six years old, it's working well enough for me to be able to save up money for a good new one instead of having to go into emergency-get-one-cheap mode.
... NOT having to work today.
... Direct deposit. It's really kinda a nifty and convenient idea!
... The fact that the *NSYNC fandom has stayed as strong and cohesive as it is given that there's been no new music for over three years. (And the fact that I get to be a part of it!)
... Pictures of Chris Kirkpatrick.
... Oh, and the other four, too.
... Having a mom who does her best to let me know of anything about the boys that she hears, even if 99% of the time, I know it already.
... AIM. Talk about a handy little gadget.
... The occasional times when This I Promise You plays over the muzak at work.
... Reading fanfic.
... Comments to LJ posts that I don't expect comments to.
... Jim Hendry. Cuz wow, you can tell he wants the Cubs to win as badly as any of the fans do. And he's in a position to DO something about it.
... Baseball pants.
... Getting to hear my brother's music. It's good!
... Funky socks.
... Tabbed web-browsing.
... Games that actually play on my aforementioned six-year-old computer.
... My own enthusiasm.
... The Christmas lights at the entrance to my subdivision. Decorating the trunk of palm trees with white lights and then the bulb at the top with red ones makes them look like GIANT PENISES WITH LEAVES. Which inevitably makes me giggle like a twelve year old.
... Paper clips.
... This icon. BOYS MAKING TURKEY HANDS.
... The Bears. Even though they suck, they can still pull off some surprise victories.
... Rice. I heart rice. It's tasty.
... Cardancing.
... Getting a song stuck in your head that you LIKE.
There we go. 25 things I'm thankful for. Woo-ha!
