So the partridge in the pear tree is Jesus, the French hens are Faith, Hope, and Charity, the four calling birds are the four Gospels, the six geese a-laying are the days of creation, and the seven swans a-swimming are the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, etc. Still, this brings up the question of why you'd ever need twelve Jesuses.
