Well.... Over a week of being in contact with tech support over my mom's computer.. and I figured out that the problem was something that I thought I'd checked in the very BEGINNING, but apparently didn't, and it's all solved, and everything.

Bleh. And after all the sleep I lost over it too.

Mom tried to claim that it was all some big plot on my part to bypass what I knew the problem was originally so that MY computer ended up working right.... o.o

If I were actually THAT conniving, I'd imagine that I'd choose a grandiose scheme that caused a LOT less irritation on my part...

... like buying the replacement part on day one.
