My sister has a Shih-Tzu, named Happy, and yes they looooooooooove attention. They become the baby of the family AND they are very very protective over little ones and what is their is THEIRS, dammit.
And they tend to bark at everything, including the wind blown leaf rolling across the front lawn. *bangs head*
Happy is the nosiest creature ever created. My sister's dining room is a step up from teh living room, so it's raised up a bit, enough that Happy can peer out of the window to see the comings & goings on in the neighborhood.
