I scare myself sometimes.

In a classic example of Knowing A Hell Of A Lot More Than You Thought You Did, I managed to score a 97% on an International Relations test that I honestly thought I only did a few shades better than mediocre on.

I tied for second-best score in the class.

Someone enlighten me. How the hell did I pull that one off?

Another autobiographical one. Written mentally in the shower.

"Hey, quit it!"

She spun and glared at the showerhead. It didn't respond, of course, although the water did go back to a more acceptable level. It had to get hot on her, didn't it? Lucky she didn't have any third degree burns yet. She spun back around to rinse her hair.

"Dammit!"

She could have sworn the fixture was laughing at her.
