Anyway! I can now publicly cheer and also step out a bit myself.

First thing's first, and once more, major cheers for [livejournal.com profile] glendaglamazon, for writing the lovely Grow for me for DWNOGA. And thanks again again to [livejournal.com profile] paceus for hitting me up with Pearl Earrings for Yuletide.

.... Insane as that month was, I want it to be November again so I can do it again!

Anyway, and now I can finally reveal that I am the one responsible for the punk!*NSYNC!JoeC story, In the News, written for [livejournal.com profile] madame_d, as far as DWNOGA goes.. (I'd say I wrote it, but really, it half ended up writing itself. XD) And so far as yuletide is concerned, I wrote Tales In the Sand for [livejournal.com profile] sweetsorcery. Thankfully, both recipients liked their stories, so that made me a happy individual.

And utter thanks for everyone who sent feedback and/or recced one of 'em. I think between both stories, that was probably the most feedback I've ever gotten in a week for anything ever. XD

Is it November yet? XD
dizmo: (other - lemming)
Okay. Everyone else is doing it! ;)

If you correctly guess which SeSa (or Yuletide! Although that would be significantly harder!) story I wrote, I'll write you a ficlet.

... IF YOU ALREADY KNOW, YOU TOTALLY DON'T GET TO GUESS. Because that's cheating. And I know if you know! So there! Or something!

Anyway, comments are screened, have at, although I dunno if anyone's gonna take me up on it. XD
dizmo: (chris - christmas)
Okay! So, I go to work for an incredibly hectic day in ye olde retail.

And I come home to two happy discoveries.

1. My recipient likes my story. So that makes me :)

2. My story, Grow, is ... really, incredible win. Cute, and sweet, and funny in all the right places, and Landscaper!Sync! I mean, really, how can you say no to that?!!

So! DWNOGA was an utter success.

Now I get to go dig into more. And then Yuletide tomorrow. My cup runneth over!
dizmo: (firefly - hero of canton)
Yuletide done and successfully posted last night.

SeSa done and successfully posted about twenty minutes ago.

Allow me to say that I love my SeSa beyond all reason, and I just hope that my recipient is as pleased with it as I am.

Also, oops, I just realized I never wrote a letter to my SeSa author. *guilts!!* But I'm fairly easy to please, so I'm sure I'll love whatever it is she came up with.

Anyway, off to finish getting ready for work. Nothing like working late to PUSH UP YOUR FIC CHALLENGE DEADLINES BY SEVEN HOURS...

Ahem. Anyway. ;)
dizmo: A simplified blob-like illustration of me. (sw - prepare to die)
Okay, so. I'm obviously a masochist. I just went and signed up for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. So, between NaNo, and Yuletide, and DWNOGA...

Come Christmas, I'm never going to want to type another word ever.

But with any luck, I'll get some fun fiction out of it.

I hope.

*fingercross*

Okay, so!

DWNOGA authors have been revealed!

So I can finally officially say that the person who owns my soul for writing Cracking the Love Code is the wonderful and amazing [livejournal.com profile] adelate. Who received no fewer than three pieces of feedback from me the day stories went live, not counting my journal post, and probably would have received more had I not willfully sat on my hands and told myself that spamming my writer's inbox is not the best sign of lurve. ;)

My own story, Five, for [livejournal.com profile] sarahq, I have mixed feelings about. She liked it, and I'm ever so relieved about that, but I almost wish I could have done the bunny a bit more justice. Unfortunately, I got said bunny a bit too late in the game to really give it the workover it, and she, deserved, but for my first attempt at GSF, I don't think I did all that badly with it. So there we are.

......... Is it time for SeSa '06 yet?

Ahem.

dizmo: A picture of Chris and Justin from *NSYNC laughing, with 'Hee!' written on it. (nsync: timbertrick hee!)
Yes. I did just use the feedback mechanism to send my SeSa author a ridiculously gushing and effusive bit of feedback. Because... Best thing I ever woke up to, probably. Really.

ANYWAY.

Cracking the Love Code.

My story. Written by someone who either speaks to me on a rather frequent basis... *peeeers at her friendslist*, has done an excellent job of stalking my journal, has spoken to people who speak to me on a rather frequent basis, or... is a ridiculously good guesser.

Because it's a BOOKSTORE AU.

I can totally and completely relate to very large chunks of the story.

Okay, although I have never gotten asked out by a hot customer. Yet. Bah.

BUT. THE REST, MAN, THE REST....

Justin's life story! Through self-help books!

That stupid book that you thought you had but isn't in the system!

Manging to find it and doing a mental self-congratulatory dance while you hold it proudly over your head!

Those 'just browsing' people!

Andthentheywentbowling. Which is just SO CUTE. AAAAAAAAAAAH.

This is me in a transport of delight.

So go read. Like now. Don't stop. The end. Yes.

*flail around happylike*
dizmo: (df - never know)
Just over an hour left, and SeSa finally submitted.

That was... definitely a different experience than any year I'd done it up until now. I didn't even have a half-living bunny until, like, a week ago. And nothing really concrete until, like, the last couple days. I almost feel bad for it, and the story is shorter than most of my previous ones (although, I think, not all), but... I actually like it.

I surprised myself on this one, and there are definitely some bits that I'm actually pretty impressed with, so I just hope that my recipient likes it, and that it's at least pretty close to what she wanted. :)

If she didn't... well, I did my best with something I didn't think I'd be able to do at all, so.. yay to that. Or something.

And now I head to bed. ;)
dizmo: (nsync: group awwww)
My SeSa assignment scaaaaaaaaaaaares me.

*deep breath*

If I can survive NaNo (which, granted, at this point, is far from assured...) then I can bang out at least 1000 decent words of... this assignment... in December.

I CAN DO IT.

I HAVE FAITH IN ME.

RAH RAH RAH!

Oh, and the obligatory Note to my writer! )
dizmo: (nsync: chris jubilation)
As such, I would like to one-more-time-for-good-measure!!! thank [livejournal.com profile] ninjetti75 for my most delightful story, Here With You, I Have All That I Desire. It's just all kinds of sweet and wonderful.

And now I can also say in public that I wrote It Came From the Sky!!! Which I highly enjoyed doing, for the record. Because it's not every day you get to get to write something quite so humorously off-the-wall. So, really, thanks also to [livejournal.com profile] halimede for the request! (And for liking it, despite the fact that I've already thanked her for THAT roughly 472983421398473 times.)

Is it sad that I want SeSa '05 to start already? :b
dizmo: (nsync: chris jubilation)
I believe I already gave notice in the feedback form that I want to bear your children. For the record, that still holds.

For everyone else? Go read Here With You, I Have All That I Desire. Because! Timbertrick! Chris-family! FOOD FIGHT! I am a STANDING TOWER OF SQUEE!!!

Seriously. After the RIDICULOUSLY LONG AND SLOW EVENING THAT WAS WORK TONIGHT, as everyone apparently was doing last minute Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart, and not Lowe's.... getting back to this has pasted a grin on my face that will last a good week.

At least.

*hearting*

Love.

I'm on all sorts of a big-ass posting kick today.

Now that the DWNOGA deadline has come and gone, I will take a deep breath and say... Wow, I really really have an unholy love for my story.  I am actually honest-to-God satisfied with it.  Which really makes me all kinds of happy and a half.  Because I could pick apart my last two rather brutally.  (Although I do like them both, on the average.  Just... no unholy love!)

I finished and submitted it early this afternoon, after a beta by my loverly [livejournal.com profile] beaux.  So I had it totally taken care of when I went to work..... (Which actually really felt kinda weird.  I was standing out at the lumber register, and later briefly at the return desk, without frantically writing more story on receipt tape!)  Talk about a weight off my mind.

And now...  I WANT IT TO BE CHRISTMAS EVE ALREADY MRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

But yes.  I think I quite admirably took care of my recipient's requests, despite initially having no idea how on earth I'd pull it off, had a hell of a fun time doing it, and despite my crazy night o' writing last night, am totally shot in the ass about it.

Life is pretty good right now, methinks.

Whew.

SeSa mostly done. At least to the point I can afford to sleep now.

Two-might-turn-to-three more scenes to write when I get up, then type up really quick, get a beta, get it submitted, go to work.

Or go to work, come home, submit it around 11:30-ish.

One or the other.

Either way, I'm gonna pull it off. Whew.

But... for now.... Too tired to write. So bed for me!
dizmo: (chris - what to do)
My last-minute SeSa panic wasn't supposed to start until sometime tomorrow afternoon! :b

Which is until I remembered I have to work until 11 tomorrow.

Which means I won't get home til 11:30-ish.

Which means...... I really should get my ass in gear and finish the story tonight.

..... About halfway-ish through.... I can do this.

*cracks knuckles*
dizmo: (clay - easily amused)
I am in absolute love with the scene I just finished in my SeSa.

Serious.  With hearts and flowers and butterflies and all that good stuff.

Granted, it's scene number TWO.

So.. still quuuuuite a long haul left.

But at least, if the rest of the fic sucks ass, I know that I wrote at least one really really really good scene.
