I was travelling to Las Vegas to meet up with some friends and pre-booked my seat. With this airline, they charge extra for certain seats. I chose a window seat with extra leg room due to my disability, which cost me an additional $45.
When boarding, there was a man in my seat with another in the aisle seat.

On Friday, our coworker called in sick. Said he had "something stomach-related" and couldn’t even look at a screen without getting dizzy. Whatever, people get sick.
Then Friday night, a bunch of us are watching the local news recap of the Taylor Swift stadium concert downtown. Pan across the front row… and there’s our coworker, shirtless, screaming the bridge to Cruel Summer like his life depends on it.
We all took screenshots, obviously.

I’m helping a customer (an older lady) pick out some noise-cancelling headphones. She’s kind, curious, asking great questions, just being a model customer.
My manager (who hasn’t helped with a sale in months but loves inserting himself) has been hovering nearby, acting like he's trying to mentor me with useless advice and incorrect information, likely risking derailing my sale.

Customer: "That can’t be true! I saw you check it with the pen!"
Me: "Again, I’m sorry, but it’s not actually a $50. This bill is fake. I can’t accept this as payment."

brithistorianThis morning I was going to listen to Funkadelic's One Nation Under a Groove, but for one reason or another it's not available on YouTube Music, which is my streaming service of choice. So instead I decided to listen to American Eats Its Young. I'm only five songs in (out of 14) and I'm just blown away. I think it's both an amazing sign of how forward-thinking George Clinton was and a disheartening sign of how similar this country is today to what it was in 1972[^1], when this album was released, that the political messages in this album are still amazingly relevant today. If you don't have an hour and 10 minutes to listen to the whole album, I'd recommend the songs "If You Don't Like the Effects, Don't Produce the Cause" and "Everybody Is Going to Make It This Time."
[^1] Whether that's a result of lack of progress or of progress followed by regression is a discussion for another time.
