dizmo: (dw: wheeee ahhhhhh)
Amazing Yuletide fic and then three Madness treats? Yes please.

Anyway, starting off with my main gift fic:

Solar System (Anthropomorphic) )

And then on to my three (yes, three!) Madness treats:

Three fics, in AO3 Tags/Fandom Meta, Solar System (Anthropomorphic), and Robin Hood (Disney 1973) )

Right, so I've been thinking. Missed the first already, but hey, it's still ridiculously early in the month, so...

I'm hereby challenging myself to give comment-feedback to at least one fic on the AO3 every day this month. Because I'm really really bad at it and I know authors really really appreciate it.

And two today to make up for yesterday.

And with any luck, I won't end up flaking on this and I'll even continue it past this month, because, really, it means I get to read more fic! \o/

And yes, anyone else can feel free to join me in my self-challenge! It'll be awesome! :D
dizmo: Comic sound effect-like 'NERD!' (misc: nerd!)
Okay. First thing's first.

MANY. MANY. MAAAAAAANY thanks to [livejournal.com profile] amatara for the fabulous Bearing Witness which OMG YOU SHOULD HAVE READ ALREADY WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU IF YOU HAVEN'T.

Um. Yes, anyway. Yes! Thank you! You wrote a brilliant fic, thank you thank you thank you.

Now... for the two I wrote.

First for my original assignment: For [livejournal.com profile] andraste, I wrote A Letter, Delivered by a Raven, to a Small Cottage in the Elven Village of Ivyleaf, Home of an Apprentice Baker. Probably the longest title I've ever used for a fanfic ever. XD It's Order of the Stick fic! Which... well, if you're not familiar with that particular webcomic, go and avail yourself of it, because it's awesome. If you are, it's a letter written by V. Which... led to some interesting moments when I was like... must be more unnecessarily wordy! Chop chop! :) It was very fun to write and the prompt was kind of great.

Second, for the pinch hit I managed to nab and... well, I got a rather enthusiastic reaction.

For [personal profile] melannen, one of the seven fics she got for the same prompt, aaaah!, Packet Switching. Anthropomorfic. Fandom/LJ, Fandom/DW. Awesome prompt, spawned lots of awesome fic, and I have to say I'm actually kind of ridiculously fond of mine, so... yay! :D

That was so fun. Is it next yuletide yet? :b

Don't want to further strain the AO3 servers at the moment by posting a comment, although I will later...

Yuletide author? How is it you know me better than I know myself? Because... oh my GOD, I literally had to remind myself to breathe after I finished reading my story. It was just... wonderful and sweet and misty-eye-making and... awesome, and the complete epitome of everything I asked for in that prompt.

I'm STILL grinning, in fact.

That being said...

Anyone with even a passing knowledge of Babylon 5? Go now and read Bearing Witness.

It's Vir... oh, it's everything that makes Vir Vir. And it's... the Londo and G'Kar dynamic that... Man, if I didn't know better, I'd honestly think JMS wrote this fic himself.

*HAPPY FLAIL*

Okay, that's all. Seriously.

THANK YOU AGAIN, AUTHOR. YOU'LL PROBABLY GET EVEN MORE SQUEE ONCE I COMMENT TO THE STORY.
dizmo: (misc: rylin mwah!)
Anyway! I can now publicly cheer and also step out a bit myself.

First thing's first, and once more, major cheers for [livejournal.com profile] glendaglamazon, for writing the lovely Grow for me for DWNOGA. And thanks again again to [livejournal.com profile] paceus for hitting me up with Pearl Earrings for Yuletide.

.... Insane as that month was, I want it to be November again so I can do it again!

Anyway, and now I can finally reveal that I am the one responsible for the punk!*NSYNC!JoeC story, In the News, written for [livejournal.com profile] madame_d, as far as DWNOGA goes.. (I'd say I wrote it, but really, it half ended up writing itself. XD) And so far as yuletide is concerned, I wrote Tales In the Sand for [livejournal.com profile] sweetsorcery. Thankfully, both recipients liked their stories, so that made me a happy individual.

And utter thanks for everyone who sent feedback and/or recced one of 'em. I think between both stories, that was probably the most feedback I've ever gotten in a week for anything ever. XD

Is it November yet? XD

Ahem.

Yes. I did just use the feedback mechanism to send my SeSa author a ridiculously gushing and effusive bit of feedback. Because... Best thing I ever woke up to, probably. Really.

ANYWAY.

Cracking the Love Code.

My story. Written by someone who either speaks to me on a rather frequent basis... *peeeers at her friendslist*, has done an excellent job of stalking my journal, has spoken to people who speak to me on a rather frequent basis, or... is a ridiculously good guesser.

Because it's a BOOKSTORE AU.

I can totally and completely relate to very large chunks of the story.

Okay, although I have never gotten asked out by a hot customer. Yet. Bah.

BUT. THE REST, MAN, THE REST....

Justin's life story! Through self-help books!

That stupid book that you thought you had but isn't in the system!

Manging to find it and doing a mental self-congratulatory dance while you hold it proudly over your head!

Those 'just browsing' people!

Andthentheywentbowling. Which is just SO CUTE. AAAAAAAAAAAH.

This is me in a transport of delight.

So go read. Like now. Don't stop. The end. Yes.

*flail around happylike*

I believe I already gave notice in the feedback form that I want to bear your children. For the record, that still holds.

For everyone else? Go read Here With You, I Have All That I Desire. Because! Timbertrick! Chris-family! FOOD FIGHT! I am a STANDING TOWER OF SQUEE!!!

Seriously. After the RIDICULOUSLY LONG AND SLOW EVENING THAT WAS WORK TONIGHT, as everyone apparently was doing last minute Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart, and not Lowe's.... getting back to this has pasted a grin on my face that will last a good week.

At least.

*hearting*
