"Justin Timberlake sleeps separately."
Yes, it was just another punchline to yet another Leno skit. One, in fact, that very nearly made me spew my Pepsi halfway across my room. (I'm still commending my own self-control for not doing so.)
But then I got to thinking. Funny thing, that, thinking. Brit and Juju's relationship has been the subject of endless debate and discussion. Are they really telling the truth about that Whole Virgin Thing? You really either believe them or you're absolutely convinced that they're lying and they've been doing the nasty canasta for some time now.
You know, why should we really even care? What business is it to us what side of platonic their relationship is on? I don't think it affects our lives in any way whatsoever. Does their celebrity status officially make it a matter of public concern? Don't we have better things to wonder about? I mean, it isn't as if anybody ever speculates on my sex life. Granted, speculating on something nonexistent isn't the most enthralling pastime in the world... unless we think it might not be.
Which brings us back to Justin and Britney. My verdict? People are just nosy.
But as far as I'm concerned, Mr. Timberlake and Miss Spears are entitled to do whatever they want that doesn't hurt anyone, and say whatever they want about it.
More power to them.
