Two cardinal rules of baseball.

1. Good pitching always beats good hitting.
2. The Cubs always beat themselves.

Now that I've gotten out my sobbing, my bitterness, and my random throwing of stuffed animals around the room, I've gotten pretty much over it.

And contemplative.

If you'd told me at this time last year that the Cubs would make the NLCS, I'da loved the thought!

And now.. I can make a slight alteration to the old standard.
